SUKIYA Glorietta, nestled in the Glorietta BPO 2 Building in Makati City, offers an inviting glimpse into authentic Japanese cuisine, buzzing with flavorful options. Highlighting affordability, the restaurant excels in dishes like the Gyudon—a comforting bowl of tender beef paired with savory sauce. Many patrons praise its quick service and delightful atmosphere, making it a go-to spot for quick lunches or casual dinners.
Kid-friendly options such as the Karaage Plate and Yakisoba Plate (both priced at ₱153) cater to younger guests, focusing on crispy textures and balanced flavors. However, the Yakisoba has garnered mixed reviews regarding its strong Worcestershire sauce flavor, suggesting the need for some balance. The Curry offerings, while promising, can be hit-or-miss; some diners found them overly salty, overshadowing the main ingredients.
Despite varying dish experiences, many reviewers like Manny Yu and Pat Dimayuga emphasize the overall value found here. With a clean ambiance, well-priced meals, and quick service, SUKIYA Glorietta remains a notable choice for those seeking hearty Japanese fare in Makati. Just remember to ask for your dishes tailored to your taste, especially when it comes to the seasoning!

Reviews for SUKIYA Glorietta
Review highlights
Based on 175 reviewsCustomers appreciate SUKIYA Glorietta for its affordable pricing, quick service, and comforting Japanese dishes, especially the flavorful beef gyudon which remains a top choice for many. The menu offers variety beyond gyudon, including options like yakisoba, sukiyaki, and chicken karaage, which are generally well-received for their taste and quality. Patrons also enjoy occasional limited-time offers that add excitement to the dining experience. Some feedback highlights a higher rice-to-meat ratio and occasional service delays, along with minor issues related to seating comfort and payment systems. Overall, SUKIYA Glorietta is favored as a convenient, satisfying spot for casual Japanese meals in the Makati area.
08/15/25. Yakisoba day She was leaning towards noodles and I wanted meat for dinner. Going around Glorietta brought us to Sukiya. Previously we only went here for Gyudon rice meals so the Yakisoba was a welcome alternative. GOOD: 1. Fast service. 2. Fatty and flavorful Beef Gyudon strips. Maybe too fatty for others. 3. Affordable meal with miso soup and veggies already thrown in. 4. She said the Macha Latte was a steal considering taste. COULD BE IMPROVED: 1. Their Gyudon is good. ⭐⭐⭐ for food is only for the Yakisoba. Imo the Yakisoba had an overpowering worcestershire sauce taste. Please scale it down for balance. Thank you.
We always passed by here so we decided to try it out. Food price is very reasonable but there’s more rice than meat. Food is ok, I prefer Yoshinoya for the same type of food bowl they offer. Services is fast and you have to go to the cashier to pay for your meal after eating. I was wearing jeans shorts and the chairs are cracked to it’s very uncomfortable to the skin.
Rating: 3.4/5 “I had mixed feelings about my visit. The sukiyaki was satisfying — warm, flavorful, and had a nice balance of sweetness and umami, just as you’d hope from a dish inspired by the classic Japanese hotpot. The chicken karaage was also enjoyable: crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and well-seasoned. Both dishes were comforting and worth trying. However, the beef curry was quite disappointing. The flavor was overwhelmingly salty, to the point that it overpowered the beef entirely. What made it worse was the side of pickled vegetables, which were also extremely salty — there was no contrast, no relief from the intensity, and it made the dish difficult to enjoy. Service was decent, though nothing particularly outstanding. The staff was polite, and the food came out in a reasonable time. The ambiance was clean and simple, but not especially memorable. Overall, it’s a decent spot if you stick to the sukiyaki or karaage, but I’d avoid the beef curry and pickled sides unless they improve the seasoning. With a few tweaks, this place could easily be a solid 4-star experience.
food was reasonable for the price. you get a taste of their delicious sauce, and they have exclusive limited monthly offers to spice things up so you always have something new to try when you stop by. service time could be better and they sometimes have issues with their cashier teller machine, apart from that this is a nice stop for a quick meal
Sukiya is my go-to gyudon place! Every time I crave a comforting bowl of beef rice, this is where I head. Their gyudon is always satisfying—tender beef, flavorful sauce, and just the right amount of rice. Affordable, quick, and consistently good! Tried their berry yogurt soda this time, and it was a refreshing surprise—sweet, tangy, and a great balance to the savory gyudon. It was a simple “table for one” kind of meal, but the experience was warm and enjoyable. Fast service, no frills, just good food. Sometimes, that’s all you really need. Can’t wait to come back!
Sukiya - the eternal favorite of Japanese salarymen from Tokyo to Makati. The most comforting meal after a long day slaving away at a computer - digging into a hearty bowl of beef with rice. Simple and affordable food that will fill you up, and significantly better than competitor Yoshinoya. Everyone knows this place is good so get here before lunch-dinner rush. A personal favorite I have once a week!
